Guy Fieri was the spokesman for the first annual Great American Dine Out in 2008. Here's his Public Service Announcement from last year.
This it's second year, Aaron McCargo Jr. is the spokesman. But it doesn't really matter who's speaking up - what matters is that you can easily do something to help. One in six children in America is at risk of hunger. More than 13 million American children live below the poverty line.
During the week of September 20 - 26, 2009, dine out at a participating restaurant in your area. Some restaurants are donating a portion of sales for the week to Share Our Strength, while others are selling T-shirts and bounce back coupons or even creating special menu items to raise much-needed funds. Share Our Strength is a leading organization in the fight against childhood hunger in America. Visit strength.org.

Moreover, on September 23, 2009, California is celebrating Family Day, with both Maria Shriver and Guy Fieri encouraging people to eat as a family.
